Carrying forward the legacy of Masti, Grand Masti and even joking about Great Grand Masti, the fourth film embraces the massy, cheesy and wildly juvenile humor that the franchise is known for. The UK once again becomes the fun playground for the trio who live in the same neighborhood and suffer from chaotic marriages and even more chaotic friendships.

Amar (Riteish Deshmukh), Meet (Vivek Oberoi) and Prem (Aftab Shivdasani) once again face new temptations, strange rules and a bizarre idea called the Love Visa introduced by their very happily married friend Kaamraj (Arshad Warsi). When their wives surprisingly approve the concept, the three fools convince themselves that this will somehow prove their loyalty. That confidence, of course, is misplaced.

Mastiii 4 Movie Review: Script Analysis

Every film has an audience, and Mastiii 4 is absolutely clear about who it wants to entertain. This is a film that openly celebrates puns, slapstick and double meaning jokes. And the audience for such humor is larger than critics expect, which is why the laughter in theatres is genuine and constant.

Milap Milan Zaveri and Farrokh Dhondy build the script around nonstop jokes, references to classic films, spoofs and exaggerated characters. There are puns in almost every third line, some clever, some silly, some so stupid that they still make you laugh.

The first half moves quickly and is filled with clever setups. The second half slows down slightly with a section dedicated to toilet humor, which feels unnecessary and stretched. New characters like Don Pablo (Tusshar Kapoor), a dreamy cop (Shaad Randhawa) and a buff hunk (Nishant Malkani) add enough freshness even if they are absurd.

The film sticks to its franchise markers, including sudden flash of ideas, skin show, spoofs and a social message delivered in the most tongue in cheek fashion. This is not sophisticated humor, and it does not want to be. It plays to the inner child of the viewer and expects you to leave logic outside the theatre.

Mastiii 4 Movie Review: Star Performance

The trio of Riteish, Aftab and Vivek remain the soul of the franchise. Even though they are clearly older now, they slip back into character with ease. Their chemistry, timing and familiar dynamics carry the film.

Arshad Warsi is fun in his cameo, bringing his trademark effortless humor. Tusshar Kapoor, surprisingly, steals scenes with a loud and bright character that is totally opposite of his darker roles. Shaad Randhawa is equally enjoyable as the cop.

Among the women, Elnaaz Norouzi gets the most screen time and handles her role well despite the accent barrier. Ruhi Singh is decent and Shreya Sharma fits the tone of the film.

Mastiii 4 Movie Review: Direction, Music

Milap Milan Zaveri is leaning fully into the identity he has created in mainstream entertainers. His direction is bold, energetic and absolutely committed to giving fans what they expect from the fourth film of this franchise. He knows critics will not approve, and he makes the film for the people who show up to laugh without thinking.

The music carries a nostalgic Hindi film vibe. Rasiya Baalama and Pakad Pakad stand out, while the background score maintains the over the top tone required for an adult comedy.

Mastiii 4 Movie Review: The Last Word

You need to enter this film with the right mindset. If you expect subtlety or refinement, this will not work for you. If you enjoy loud, silly, deliberately over the top humor, then Mastiii 4 offers exactly that. Some cringe is inevitable, but the fun is equally strong.
